I'm Noman — a nuclear systems engineer based in Toronto. By day I lead tooling at Bruce Power with ATS Industrial Automation; after hours I run a small home lab of mini-PCs, drones, and a bench of custom PCBs and firmware.

Bridging heavy tooling and the home bench.

I hold a degree in Nuclear Engineering from Ontario Tech University. Today I work as a Systems Engineer in the nuclear sector for ATS Industrial Automation, deployed heavily at the Bruce Power site. My work spans design calculations, FMEAs, risk assessments, integration, and on-site commissioning.

A big part of my recent focus has been acting as the tool lead for the MCR Auto Calandria Tube Installation — taking a complex piece of nuclear tooling end-to-end. Alongside that I've contributed to decommissioning work for KHNP Wolsong-1 and waste-management systems for Canadian Nuclear Laboratories.

At Kinectrics, ran accelerated thermal-aging R&D on low-voltage cameras to characterise how they degrade and behave across their service life — and built MATLAB applications that automated the test rigs, acquired instrument data, and ran the statistical and graphical analysis.
